The arts are so disrespected from school level to the public and professional world. People consume and use art all the time, it’s everywhere we go, part of all the things we enjoy - but still have no respect for how it’s made or the people who make it.
No quería arruinar la alegria de ayer, pero esto también es Argentina 🇦🇷 Ushuaia, la isla, hace más de 15 días vienen así, los medios no lo levantan y no pueden apagar los incendios.
This is probably one of the most beautiful sights to behold in our times in the art world, and probably the most creative one in current states of AI.
Big protest going on over at ArtStation!
These AI models would be able to generate NOTHING without the labor of millions of artists, writers, and photographers. The images these models were trained on have COPYRIGHT. Stable Diffusion is valued at $550 million dollars completely off the backs of unpaid labor.
A lot of non art people talk about how AI eliminates drudgery and allows us to "focus on being creative" As if they even know what that means.
They don't understand that the process is where the creativity happens. It's in all the small choices you make along the way.
