Today I took a project from a blank Illustrator artboard to nearly completed piece. Felt good!

Subcontracted to design and cut leather for a layered bodice front being constructed by a local leather worker. Cannot wait to see how these turn out!! Have one more to go... (disclosure: the tree is mine 😍)

- laser cut and etched cherry, maple, and basswood ply
- resin pour
- fitted walnut ply frame

I've been really enjoying the art of blending laser wood cutting/engraving with cut/carved acrylic and poured resin. Since my first resin project (the tree), trial and error have taught me a lot about design and execution!
