I am excited to be moving into my new studio at Hatch. There has been lots of DIY, painting and tea over the last few days. Thank you to Ian and Joe for helping me get studio ready and of course thank you to my supportive husband Paul! #artstudio #art #contemporaryart #Somerset

This is a sculpture I made last year. I plan to create another work soon by using this type of paper folding method. #art #contemporaryart #womenartist #somerset #southwest #sculpture #paperart #folding

Making work at Hatch today didn’t work out as planned because of the strong winds. This is the first work that I have made that’s not static, which is sometimes frustrating.. however it is very interesting to film. #workinprogress #contemporaryart #art #SOMERSET #Installation

Leah Hislop’s installation ‘Sanctuary’ received the Somerset Art Works Prize 🏆
Have you seen it in the Palm Churchyard at @wellscathedral?

🙌 “Winning the prize has given me the confidence that I am stepping in the right direction in my art practice' says Leah.

[Leah Hislop @ArtSpider]

This is one of my favourite images of my installation ‘Sanctuary’ now currently on display @wellsartcontemp, the image is of me constructing the figure within the installation. Kathryn Sewell (who took this image) captured this moment when I was totally in line with the figure.
