Today, The Hon’ble Supreme Court directed removal of stray dogs from schools, hospitals, and major public transport hubs, and asked NHAI and other road-owning agencies to remove stray cattle/animals from national and state highways and house them in shelters. With respect, these directions are not sustainable, conflict with the ABC Rules, 2023, and are practically not implementable at scale. The affected parties were not heard. If you run, own or know an educational institution, please speak up and support your campus animals through ABC-compliant, humane management.

✅ Protection for Caregivers: Harassment or intimidation of those who show kindness by providing food to homeless animals, is strictly prohibited.
✅ Scientific ABC: Sterilisation, vaccination & release to manage dog population responsibly.
✅ Designated Feeding Zones: To reduce conflict, promote harmony in communities. Till such locations are identified, caregivers may continue to feed homeless animals at safe, clean locations, responsibly.
✅ Mandatory Project Recognition and CCTV cameras for every ABC Center in compliance with ABC Rules 2023.
✅ Supreme Court Aligned: Circular upholds SC directions on street dog welfare & public order.

Governance that protects both people & animals, rooted in the Constitution & compassion. 🐾

The perseverance and courage of @JesudossAsher, @SibalSunayana, @soufiyafz and their superstar lawyer Gauri Puri has brought justice for ‘Jaffy’, the street dog of Jafarabad, Delhi, assaulted by a policeman in 2022.

After years of struggle in courts, an FIR is finally registered. Their fight reminds us: compassion means standing firm against injustice.

On 21.8.25, @NagarVikas_UP trained officers from all 17 corporations on laws & protocols, and showcased the @LucknowNagar ABC Centre, run like a proper hospital, with scientific standards.

@gupta_rekha ji must take a cue from @myogiadityanath ji: be solution-oriented, with zero tolerance for corruption.

Lucknow has achieved from 1 ABC center, in 5 years, what Delhi has been unable to achieve in 25 years with 20 ABC centers.

Central Government comes out in support of their ABC Rules and has reiterated their commitment to scientific and humane solutions !!

Street dog management lies with States & ULBs under ABC Rules, 2023. Focus is on humane sterilisation & vaccination, not pounds or relocation

Funds, infra support & anti-rabies vaccines will be provided through central government schemes, to local authorities and AHD hospitals.

This boost from the Central Government will help scale up the ABC program pan India !!

Mobile Veterinary Clinics, purchased with funds obtained from @Min_FAHD @LalanSingh_1 ji - gathering dust & rusting away at the Directorate of Animal Husbandry Division of @DelhiGovDigital since 2023.

The Director AHD Dr Satyavir Singh blames senior officers who probably didn’t get the going rate of kickbacks for the tender to go through.

With 77 veterinary hospitals defunct and mobile clinics in disuse, Delhi’s livestock and pet owners continue to get exploited by quacks or expensive private hospitals.

Madam CM @gupta_rekha please look into this matter on priority.
