Your guest last night is a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir, an extremist organisation that has been banned in several countries, including Germany and a number of Muslim countries.

First, your guest tried to claim that the word jihad can mean absolutely anything.
Nonsense.

When a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for jihad on the streets of London, they're not talking about some inner spiritual struggle.
They're calling for violence.

Secondly, we've just heard a monologue about casualty figures in Gaza.
Where do those figures come from?

Panelist: The United Nations!

Douglas Murray: They come from Hamas-run ministries in Gaza. Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organisation.

If you want to quote those figures, that's your choice, but don't present them to viewers as unquestionable fact.

Panelist: Because you're lying! Even the numbers from Israel

Douglas Murray: Thirdly, I will continue to speak if it kills you.

The claim that Gaza has seen more bombing, deaths and destruction than World War II is nonsense.

Take Dresden alone. The scale of destruction was completely different.
