8:02pm Wed. 6/17: Very concerned for Beloit at the moment. Rotation really increasing. Text friends/family in Beloit and tell them to seek shelter. Severe t-storm warnings continue for Walworth and Waukesha Co. until 8:45pm for strong winds. No concerning rotation in our area at this time.

Noon Wednesday: Another batch of snow is moving into the area from the northwest. Have you blown away in this wind? How’s everyone doing? Good news…air pressure bottomed out this morning and it is starting to go up. Snow will taper off early this evening but the wind will continue all night. Power outages continue to go up. Wind chill at noon: 19.

8:02pm: Things are evolving rapidly now. The cluster of (non-severe) storms in eastern Rock Co (east of Janesville) is strengthening. Wind and some hail are possible as these storms move NE. The clouds have grown from 28,000 to 36,000 ft in the last 20 minutes. This is an indicator of strengthening. We will track that batch. In addition, we are watching strong storms crossing into WI from IL (SW of Janesville). The front itself is marked by a line of t-storms from Sheboygan Co to Madison. Not concerned about severe storms with that at this time. Our concern is east of the front & closer to IL border. Please stay tuned.

Getting harder to find working examples of NVIDIA GeForce 6800GT and Ultra AGP cards in the wild. I picked up this one for a decent price and it fired right up. Works great in both Win98SE and WinXP. Even though it’s the GT clocked specimen with no frills, it’s still a beast and just works.

Thrilled to finally have a second 1.04 revision board in my possession.

Although an earlier revision, it’s more rare than the later 1.06 version and sought after because it works better with the K6 II+ and K6 III+ chips.

Mequon near Highland and Freistadt Rds, looking towards the West just above the tree line. It seems to have dropped / lowered now and I can no longer see it. Attempted camera phone picture but so dark…Your video does it justice.

Initially thought it was a plane or helicopter heading East (towards me) but it was still there over 30 mins later and appeared to be hovering while flashing. Nothing on FlightAware app here either.
