@Bill_Linnane @ClionasCarafes Agree. I get in arguments with people on subject of rice cookers vs toasters. Toasters yield burnt cold bread, yet we venerate the bastards. Click the rice cooker’s switch and the rice is ready when you need it. Serviceable rice cookers cost £30. It’s a Big Toast conspiracy.

@WovenPete Re ‘not being felt by the retailer, nor the wholesaler’. It is bad news for us too. The admin work on thousands of products is a major cost, let alone the effect on our bar customers where this rise will hurt.

@Freyamsr @corneliusbeers A gravy that absolutely ‘sticks two fingers up at the corporate chicken’. Then surprisingly starts to actually work quite well with the chicken, until you can’t tell what is chicken and what is gravy. It’s the vegetables I feel sorry for.
