Meet Maverick the Great 🐾

This 130 lb Cane Corso was adopted from @pbhsnaples by Arthrex VP of International Business Brett Jones and his wife. Shortly after coming home, they noticed he had a slight limp. Veterinarian Brian Peters, DVM, diagnosed Maverick with a torn CCL, the canine equivalent of a human ACL.

With the help of the Arthrex Vet Systems team and community partners, Brett and his wife sought out veterinary orthopedic surgeon and Senior Director of Arthrex Vet Systems Nina R. Kieves, DVM, DACVS-SA, DACVSMR, to perform the procedure using surgical planning software and the Arthrex 3.5 mm TPLO broad plate.

“Maverick is a big boy, but no matter what size the dog, we have an appropriate implant in our TPLO Locking Plate System,” said Dr. Kieves. “The surgery went perfectly.”

Maverick is now recovering well and loving life in his new home.
