RE: SPEAKERSHIP RACE
I wish to draw the attention of the public to the matters regarding the Speakership race.
After wide consultations and deep introspection, and to maintain harmony and clarity in my beloved party, the @NRMOnline, I wish to categorically and unequivocally state that I will not be offering myself for the Speakership race of the 12th Parliament.
I am greatly indebted to H.E @KagutaMuseveni, my party, the @NRMOnline, and members of the 11th Parliament for giving me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Speaker and Speaker.
I am equally indebted to my family and friends for the solidarity and support they have extended to me over the last five years.
I pledge my total support to the candidates who will be endorsed by the President and the Party, and Implore all colleague MPs of the 12th Parliament to do the same.

Lice & bedbugs in Kitalya - Prison experience.

I grew up in a home without bedbugs. I encountered them for the first time while working abroad (kyeyo) in Abu Dhabi, where we were housed in a camp infested with them.

Having suffered terribly, we raised the issue with the administration. They carried out spraying, but spraying can never wipe out those tiny insect it only reduces their numbers. Eventually, ................

I literally didn’t sleep that night, as dozens of lice crawled into my prison uniform.

In the following days, life in prison was defined by intense itching, skin rashes, and red bumps. Early mornings in prison are marked by people rushing outside to sunbathe, but the main ....

but I grew up without ever seeing one until I was taken to Kitalya Prison.

Kitalya Prison is not just infested with lice, it seems to be their factory. We were made to sleep two people on a very small, hardened, old, dirty mattress, one facing down, the other facing up. ......

Fortunately, because we had our own small rooms, we were able to fight them head on and clear the space. They would only reappear if someone brought one back from elsewhere.

But then there is something called lice. I used to hear stories about lice in the early 2000s, .........

This onion variety brings money quickly. Iam currently weeding, as farming onions involves weeding from the first month to the final day of harvesting.

Today, April 10th, marks exactly two months since planting some good acres of our onion farm. I am cultivating one of the most improved onion varieties, offering higher yields, disease resistance, and the ability to withstand harsh climatic conditions.

Hon. Agnes Nandutu has been found guilty, convicted and remanded to Luzira awaiting sentence soon.

Under the Ugandan Anti-Corruption Act, this Ex-minister should not face serious charges alone but also other beneficiaries who dealt with suspect property (Stolen iron sheets).

Under section 21A of the Anti corruption Act, recipients who received the iron sheets knowing that they were stolen public property commit an offence. If the ex-minister is convicted, her colleagues whom she shared ironsheets with should be convicted too!

As an ex-political prisoner, the policy of prisons not allowing families to bury their loved ones is devastating. This must be an extremely tough time for Waiswa Mufumbiro & their family. Our heartfelt condolences go out to them during this difficult period. May the deceased RIP

Well, if climatic conditions don't get favourable, a good farmer can't fail to get around

Let's do the calculation.
2000 × 8000 = 16Millions.

Now, what if you have got lots of acres like us, See, commercial farming is real and it works miracles.

I shifted my office to the gardens, with farming, physical presence is mandatory not optional. When it comes to onion farming, you must be ready to be present everyday, no excuses!

We planted our onions on 10th to 15th February, they are not yet two months old

An acre of onions can yield between 4000 to 6000 ( enganda) during good rains and good soils.

Apparently, one (Nganda) is at 8000 at the garden. Let's do the mathematics then.

4000 × 8000 = 32 Millions
6000 × 6000 = 48 Millions

Both Rocket and Striker prices have also increased, we are also applying Harvestor and other types of fertilizers. Farming is indeed not for the faint hearted but it is possible at the same time.

Farmers, here is a simple breakdown of how onions can do you a miracle.

Herbicides have become too expensive and unmanageable with prices that change everyday as demand gets high.

A 5 litre Jerry can of Super glow, a fertilizer is currently at 260000, Dyscen has also moved from 14000 per kilo to 16000. We are currently using 35 to 40 kg per spray

That's why we are very sure that in three weeks time, we shall be harvesting!

Today, my farm boys and I managed to do spraying. We spray twice a week, sometimes once depending on the climatic conditions and every spraying activity takes exactly or approximately 1 Million Ugx

These are first growing onions. Actually we would have harvested but unfortunately, we have registered less rain, it has rained only five times.

Luckily, we have very high performing seedlings that can manage very harsh conditions, they are very tolerant
