Yesterday, I concluded my #FreePrimaryHealthCare working tour of the Western North Region.
As part of the tour, I presented essential medical equipment including incubators, patient monitors, defibrillators, hospital beds, and other critical devices to strengthen healthcare delivery. The equipment was handed over at both the regional level, at the Ghana Health Service Regional Directorate in Bodi, and at the community level in Nsawora, Suiano, and Afere.
Expanding access to quality healthcare and achieving Universal Health Coverage remain top priorities of the Government under the leadership of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama.
I said a few weeks ago on social media that the ongoing attacks were unacceptable, and today these incidents have once again raised serious concerns for Ghanaians. Those responsible for these xenophobic acts must be held accountable. May the departed soul from our land rest in peace.

I may not understand every language being spoken, but after watching several of the videos, the truth is clear: this tragedy was not caused by nature alone.
The devastation is heartbreaking for our country, especially for those directly affected by this disaster in Ghana. While natural factors played a role, human negligence made the situation worse.
Not everyone affected by the flood acted carelessly by dumping rubbish anywhere. But the reckless actions of a few have brought pain, loss, and hardship to many others. What do we gain by turning away from our responsibility and throwing waste wherever we please? Nothing but blocked drains, filthy streets, flooded homes, and deeper suffering for our communities.
This is not a burden for the government alone. It is a duty we all share. It is time to revive the old town council system once practiced in our communities. It promoted discipline and encouraged proper waste disposal because people knew there were consequences for irresponsible actions. If we want cleaner communities, safer homes, and fewer tragedies, then we must act now by taking responsibility, enforcing discipline, and refusing to let negligence claim more lives or leave more families in mourning.
Finally, let us all support those affected in any way we can. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference. Let us extend a helping hand to those in our communities who have lost so much. Together, we can help restore hope, ease their burden, and bring smiles back to their faces.
