Attended the @AFSIA_Official 6th e-Conference on Storage Solutions today.
Day 1 has reinforced an important point: storage is no longer just backup power. It is becoming active energy infrastructure.
For Africa, the real opportunity is in designing PV+BESS systems around actual operating conditions, weak grids, generator interaction, high temperatures, changing load profiles, safety, EMS capability and long-term serviceability.
The future of solar in Africa will not only be measured in installed MW, but in how reliably, safely and intelligently that power can be delivered when it is needed.
