I’m grateful to God for the gift of life, for the friends and family that He has surrounded me with, and for the many second chances I have had in life.

For whatever we have accomplished, that was the almighty God working through us. The glory goes to Him. For the mistakes and missteps along the way, that's mine. I take responsibility while struggling to improve.

Cheers to a new age and a new page.

What happened with Edgar Tekere funeral is what’s going to happen with Cde Geza" captures a bitter historical parallel that should give every patriot pause. Edgar "Two-Boy" Tekere, one of the true architects of our liberation struggle, a founding member of ZANU, and a man who shared prison cells with Robert Mugabe himself, made his position crystal clear before his death in 2011. He repeatedly declared he did not want to be buried at the National Heroes Acre. Why? Because, in his own unfiltered words, he refused to lie among "thieves and crooks" a direct indictment of the corruption, looting, and betrayal that had infested the very shrine meant to honour our revolutionaries.Yet what happened?

The ZANU-PF Politburo, in its infinite arrogance, declared him a national hero anyway. They overrode his wishes, his family's sentiments, and the moral weight of his lifelong consistency. They paraded his body to Heroes Acre, buried him there amid the obligatory speeches and ululations, all while conveniently ignoring the fact that the man had broken from the party precisely because he saw it degenerating into a vehicle for personal enrichment and authoritarian excess. It was not honour; it was appropriation. A final act of control over a comrade who had dared to speak truth to power long after others had fallen silent. Now look at Cde Blessed Runesu Geza Bombshell a war veteran who fought in the trenches against colonial tyranny, only to later turn his fire on what he saw as a betrayal of that same revolution under the current leadership. He called out the "2030 nonsense" with the courage of a man who knew his days were numbered, battling cancer in exile while refusing to bow. He died on 6 February 2026 in South Africa, far from home, having become a fugitive in his own country for demanding accountability.

The parallel is unmistakable. Just as with Tekere, the state may well attempt to confer "national hero" status on Geza posthumously not out of genuine respect, but to neutralise his legacy, to fold his dissent back into the official narrative, and to deny him (and his supporters) the dignity of a burial consistent with his principles. They will speak of his liberation credentials while erasing or downplaying his final, explosive rejection of the status quo. They will bury him at Heroes Acre if they can, surrounded by the very figures he accused of corruption, turning his grave into another propaganda site.But mark my words: the people remember. Tekere's burial did not erase his criticisms; it amplified them in the minds of those who think critically. The same will happen with Geza. His audio broadcasts, his letters, his refusal to compromise these live on. Attempting to "hero-ise" him in death will only expose the hypocrisy further. It will remind Zimbabweans that the National Heroes Acre has become less a sacred ground and more a political tool for laundering legacies and silencing dissent.Cde Geza deserves an honest reckoning, not a forced state funeral that mocks his final stand. If the authorities proceed as they did with Tekere, they will confirm what many already know the revolution has been captured, and even in death, our true liberators are not allowed to rest on their own terms.The struggle continues.

I have been in this world for 48 years, and of these, 28 have been actively dedicated to national duty, public service, and citizens’ assignments, opposing oppression and dictatorship for almost my entire youth and adult life.

What fortifies and strengthens me is your unparalleled outpouring of love and the multiplicity of gifts you have sent me…gifts of encouragement, of wisdom and insight, of warmth and solidarity, of counsel, of best wishes, of prayers, but, more importantly, the gift of life itself.

You continue to lift my hands, being that dependable support system.
You are the winds to my wings. Birthdays are a reminder to celebrate life and the One who gave it, God Almighty. They are moments to pause, reflect, and take stock of our gains and pains, our hits and misses.

Being alive is not an achievement; it is a divine gift, an endowment, a blessing. This, in itself, is evidence of divine providence.
