We are delighted to announce the acquisition of this rare plaster ‘welfare talisman’ produced locally in 1925 by The John Ruskin School, set up by Godfrey Blount, who helped establish Haslemere’s Arts & Crafts group the ‘Peasant Artists’ in the 1890s. Now on display.

This telephone once sat in the projection room of the Rex cinema in Haslemere. Does anyone remember visiting the Rex? It’s currently on display in our exhibition 'Haslemere Through the Centuries' - on until 2 March

Circus skills workshops for all the family will be held at the Museum during next Tuesday 22 August. The sessions are run by Primary Workshops for Schools, with two short demonstrations at 10.30am and 1.15pm. Book your tickets at https://t.co/m85zvRbTX7

Our beekeeping team will be “at home” this Saturday 12th August 11am-3pm doing hive inspections and honey harvesting. All ages are welcome to come and see the bees, watch the honey extraction process and ask any questions.

Our Teddy Bears' Picnic is coming up on 10 August, 1.30pm. Bring your teddy or soft toy. Entry is free and children's teas can be ordered via our website. There'll be a competition for the best wildlife explorer-dressed teddy!

The Brownies had a great time at @haslemeremuseum yesterday, earning their Beauty & Heroism challenge badge by learning about the Trojan war.
