The inspiration for Scrooge in #AChristmasCarol Jemmy Wood is buried in St Mary de Crypt Church on Southgate Street. Last performance of A Christmas Carol in the church tonight at 1930. @groveproduction@stmarydecrypt
Wonderful to see inclusive churches quietly but firmly welcoming everyone. Thank you to everyone at St Mary de Crypt in Gloucester for this. All are truly welcome here 🌈
Such lovely news for 2025 🌈
For all those of faith there will be these new monthly services at St. Mary de Crypt.
This beautiful space offered an early safe home to the Gloucestershire Gay and Lesbian Community fifty years ago, and has been steadfast ever since.
🌈
What a great evening it was! Huge thanks to the staff and students from @TheCryptSchool, the team from @stmarydecrypt and everyone who came along and supported it. #WEHenley#Invictus

Thank you to St. Mary de Crypt, Trans in Gloucestershire, Pride in Gloucestershire, and all those from across The Shire who came to remember the dead.
None of this should ever have happened in the UK.
But it did.

It's been a governance day - local church school governing body followed by PCC. Grateful for the generosity of those who take on trustee roles & give so much to our community. #volunteers#schools#Church#BetterTogether@GlosDioc

Today we celebrate a first for us - a publication day celebration happening right here at Gloucester History Festival. A big congratulations today to Diarmaid McCulloch for his new book Lower than the Angels which we are looking forward to hearing all about in his talk at 8pm
Such a joy to celebrate God's unfathomable love for us all & to pray for PRIDE. Enormous thanks to all the organisers for their hard work in creating a memorable day for the hundreds who marched & partied in the Park.

Thank you to St. Mary de Crypt in Gloucester for running their beautiful inclusive service at PRIDE yesterday in the Village Hall Tent at @prideinglos
A reminder that community truly does mean community 🌈
One of the very wonderful inclusive faith communities in Gloucestershire is quietly rooted in St. Mary de Crypt on Southgate Street in Gloucester.
They’ll be conducting a rainbow service in the Village Hall Tent at PRIDE in Gloucestershire today at 12:30 to 1pm.
All welcome 🌈

Another fabulous picture that captures the joy of Gloucester Day. I am so proud of all our young people who contributed to the Gloucester Day Service. It was so important to hear their hopes for the future of our city. Now we need to act on what they said!

Today I was invited to pray for the newly designated Heritage Harbour here at Gloucester Docks. We remembered before God all who have worked here over the centuries & all who visit or work in the Docks today. Canon fire rang out across the water in celebration. #GloucesterDay
