Playing through the first Megaman Starforce game again has really reminded me of why I love the medium of video games.

Yeah, it's a VERY simple story, but it had a lot of good core elements that resonated with me.

And it reignited my passion for games.

So I'ma be real,

I liked the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

I do agree with some of the criticisms, but it was *FUN*. And hearing the children cheering and clapping at certain moments reminded me that sometimes you JUST NEED FUN THINGS FOR KIDS TO BE HAPPY ABOUT.

I would have loved more time. More dialogue. More actual plot, seeing more worlds, all that kinda thing. They crammed a LOT and a lot of characters into a very short movie.

But it was fun! And that's the difference between people who go to see it vs critics who are trying to analyze it - it did exactly what a Mario Movie needed to do, even if that wasn't what movies usually do.

We all came out of it smiling, talking about our favorite characters, and things we'd like to see more of - hopes for future movies and series. I'd consider that a win for the mustachioed one. :)
