Honoured to attend the Sadequain Art Exhibition, celebrating the life and legacy of one of South Asia’s most influential artists and a pride of Pakistan.
Sadequain’s powerful calligraphy and murals continue to inspire conversations about culture, identity, and human resilience.
It’s great to see the CM @PakSarfrazbugti receiving renowned artist Sir Sadequain’s calligraphy from Mr. Zohaib. As a volunteer, I run the Sadequain Art Gallery at Quetta Jail. I would be honored to invite the CM of Balochistan to visit the gallery as well.
Honored to present our artwork with the Nemat Family to Honorable Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, in the presence of former Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar. A proud and memorable moment celebrating art, culture, and unity.🙏🇵🇰

Art sometimes ceases to be an object and becomes an unsettling encounter with memory, time, and becoming. My reflections on Amin Gulgee’s extraordinary performative exhibition at the Gulgee Museum, published in The Friday Times.

Sadequain’s signature style blends modernist distortion with emotional depth, turning simplicity into powerful visual storytelling. Even decades later, this painting continues to provoke thought and admiration.

Sadequain’s mural, "Treasures of Time," illustrates the intellectual evolution of humanity by depicting 46 notable historical figures. The muwas likely inspired by Raphael’s School of Athens.
The mural begins with a Stone Age worker using a primitive tool and progresses through significant eras including Greek civilization, the European Renaissance, the Arab golden age, and concludes with 20th-century luminaries, offering a visual journey through time.
