🌧️ Expedite Storm Water Drain Work on Gunjur Club Road – Bengaluru East City Corporation

Commissioner D.S. Ramesh inspected the ongoing storm water drain construction on Gunjur Club Road in the Mahadevapura Assembly Constituency under the jurisdiction of Bengaluru East City Corporation.

🚧 Why this project?
The Gunjur Club Road area has been facing repeated waterlogging during heavy rains due to inadequate storm water drainage. Monsoon flooding has been causing inconvenience to residents and traffic congestion in the locality.

✅ To provide a permanent solution, storm water drain construction has been taken up on priority.

⏳ Target: Complete the work within one month before the onset of monsoon.
The Commissioner directed officials and contractors to expedite the work while maintaining high quality standards.

🌊 Once completed, rainwater will be streamlined towards Gunjur Palya Lake, preventing future waterlogging issues.

🛣️ Road widening works will be taken up after completion of the drain project.

👥 Additional Commissioner Lokhande Sneahal Sudhakar, Executive Engineers, and Assistant Executive Engineers were present during the inspection.

Currently a massive and deep open trench sits exposed at the end of Gunjur Club Road, creating an immediate and lethal trap for daily commuters. To make matters worse, the edges of the road are actively carving in day by day, narrowing the safe path for vehicles.
