"In Salisbury’s paintings, the faces are often indistinct or abstracted to the point of being unrecognisable. Another imaginative transition has occurred, this mirror world imbued with new reflections and unexpected reverberations." - Rosalind Jana on Rhiannon Salisbury's work
"Jack fixes a fiction to the spot and holds it in silent wonder, turns it over, sticks with it. People and places hang in suspended unreality and everybody seems to be waiting, quietly." - Kate Timney on Jack Dunnett's CATATONIA
The work of late artist @NormanGilbert26 is often reduced simply to colours or shapes. While the work does indeed display a masterful knowledge of colour theory, impeccable composition and bold, impactful forms, the context and intention of the work he created is many-faceted.
We are pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition, 'The Kaleidoscope Turns,' by late Scottish artist @NormanGilbert26. The show will open on June 8th from 6-8pm at Arusha Gallery, running through June 25th. #normangilbert#arushagallery
