This sense of cynicism coming from a lawyer who has given more than 50 years to the law, and who, at the age of 80, remains as agile and energetic as any young man, is a cause of immense concern.

Tomorrow, we may have a better lawyer than Kapil Sibal, or we may have a far worse one. But this Court will never have another Kapil Sibal in its lifetime.

I would suggest that you read about how a barely 40-year-old Kapil Sibal defended a Supreme Court judge, Justice V. Ramaswami, during the impeachment proceedings in Parliament. To this day, it remains a remarkable and rare instance of a lawyer who was not a member of either House being permitted to participate in an impeachment proceeding inside Parliament. That was in 1993.

Some of Mr. Sibal’s cynicism must be shared by all of us if we look at our courts impartially and reflect on what they have become over the last 10 to 12 years.

Take any case. Any, I repeat. Beyond oral observations, how many judgments have meaningfully addressed the conduct of the regime or imposed any real constitutional restraint upon it? Once the heat of the moment has passed, what emerges is often a voluminous judgment that offers little by way of meaningful academic debate or lasting constitutional jurisprudence.

From electoral bonds to SIR, the story remains the same.

The Adani Business Class Lounge at Mumbai Airport has become just so horrible. Probably best avoided as much as possible.

I generally avoid lounges when flying out of Mumbai, but with a long day ahead, decided to stop by for some quick breakfast.

Both dishes took 30–40 minutes to arrive, and that too after reminders. When the food finally came, it was icy cold.

And it’s not like the business lounge is less crowded either.

Union Cabinet approved construction 6-lane tunnel connecting Dwarka Expressway (UER-II) with Nelson Mandela Marg Vasant Kunj Delhi. 8.1 km project, with an investment of ₹6,969.67 crore will significantly improve connectivity between West Delhi and South Delhi also easing traffic for commuters from Gurugram, Dwarka, IGI Airport West Delhi heading towards South Delhi.

Apart form this NHAI is proposing elevated corridor between AIIMS and Mahipalpur. Once integrated with new tunnel and Barapullah Elevated Road this corridor will create seamless connectivity across West Delhi, South Delhi, East Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Noida, making it one of the most impactful road infrastructure upgrades for the NCR.

Almost every driver who drives on the wrong side has this belief that he has done nothing wrong. They often fight back. This is a dangerous trend where wrong side driving is normalized to a point where people don't even accept fault. No shame or guilt.

The hatch back driver also had a serious error of judgement to back while on the highway.

I was on this beautiful highway just the day before yesterday, no amount of world class infrastructure can help us if this is the level of our civic sense

@MihirkJha If we don't arrest and charge wrong side driving as murder, we wl keep losing innocent lives. Our roads have become unregulated Warfield.
