They are both Class X students and may have made a mistake out of immaturity by going to such a place.

But this boy didn’t run away because, in such situations hooligans often beat the boys badly and in the worst cases, they try to commit crimes against the girls. This boy stood by her, saved her from being raped and in the end, successfully got her out of there.

Never leave your loved ones behind and never go to such unsafe places.

Every student's life is deeply precious & one feels so bad the young student committed suicide & lost his life. IIT BOMBAY must ensure counseling. Our education system & institutions must prioritize mental & emotional health support for all children.

Prior to this case very unfortunate suicide, two other students at IIT BOMBAY also committed suicide & hence IIT BOMBAY needs to introspect within & urgently reform.

However framing honest teachers for enforcing rules sets a dangerous precedent as it kills meritocracy and fuels brain drain.

इस घटना की सबसे बड़ी बात यह नहीं है कि लड़का कितना छोटा था…

सबसे बड़ी बात यह है कि डर के उस माहौल में भी उसने उस लड़की का हाथ नहीं छोड़ा।

दोनों 10वीं कक्षा के छात्र हैं। उम्र ऐसी, जब बच्चे अभी जिंदगी को समझ ही रहे होते हैं। गलती हुई होगी, उन्हें वहां उस परिस्थिति में नहीं होना चाहिए था, यह बात अलग है।

लेकिन क्या किसी गलती की सजा यह हो सकती है कि कुछ लोग खुद को मोरल पुलिस समझकर बच्चों के साथ वह सब करें?

उस रात इस लड़के के सामने दो रास्ते थे -

एक, खुद को बचाने के लिए भाग जाए।
दूसरा, उस लड़की के साथ खड़ा रहे।

उसने दूसरा रास्ता चुना -

गमछे वाला उसे डराता-धमकाता रहा, मारपीट हुई, परिस्थितियां उसके खिलाफ थीं… लेकिन उसने लड़की को अकेला नहीं छोड़ा।

उसने उसका हाथ नहीं छोड़ा।

यही बात इस पूरी घटना को बाकी घटनाओं से अलग करती है।

आज वीडियो वायरल हुआ, जमुई पुलिस ने तीन आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया। कार्रवाई हुई, यह अच्छी बात है।

लेकिन एक सवाल फिर भी रह जाता है -

अगर वीडियो वायरल नहीं होता, तो क्या 19 तारीख की घटना पर 21 तारीख को भी इतनी ही तेजी से कार्रवाई होती?

यह सवाल सिर्फ पुलिस से नहीं, पूरे समाज से है।

बच्चों को पढ़ाने....
उन्हें संस्कार दीजिए....
उन्हें दोस्त बनाने की आजादी दीजिए....

लेकिन एक बात जरूर सिखाइए -

मुसीबत में अपने दोस्त का हाथ छोड़कर भागना बहादुरी नहीं है। आज उस बच्चे ने शायद अपनी उम्र से कहीं बड़ा सबक दे दिया है।

सभ्य समाज उन लड़कों से बनेगा जो मुश्किल वक्त में किसी लड़की को अकेला छोड़कर भागने के बजाय उसके साथ खड़े रहें।

मोरल पुलिसिंग के नाम पर कानून हाथ में लेने वाले गुंडों से नहीं। और उस बच्चे के माता-पिता को एक बात के लिए धन्यवाद जरूर देना चाहिए -

उन्होंने अपने बेटे को कम उम्र में यह तो सिखाया कि
किसी लड़की का साथ देना कमजोरी नहीं, इंसानियत है।

बिहार के जमुई में छात्रा के साथ जो कृत्य हुआ उसमें लड़की के साथ जो लड़का था उसने सराहनीय काम किया।

10th क्लास के उस छात्र लड़के ने पूरे भारत को बताया कि हिम्मत दिखाना और जिम्मेदारी उठाने का क्या मतलब होता है।

जब आपकी महिला पार्टनर आपके साथ हो तो वो पूरी तरह से आपकी जिम्मेदारी होती है।

आप चाहे जितनी मुश्किल में हों आपको भगाना नहीं होता है पार्टनर के साथ खड़ा होना होता है और आखिरी तक लड़ना होता है।

ठीक उसी तरह वह 16-17 साल का लड़का जिम्मेदारी से भागा नहीं अपनी पार्टनर के बचाव में अंत तक डटा रहा— देश के हर नौजवान में ऐसी हिम्मत होनी चाहिए।
