The story of the plane allegedly carrying $3 billion to Iran raises some very serious questions.

If this money was truly transferred from Qatar to the UAE and then to Iran, the obvious question is: what was given in return?

Neither Qatar nor the UAE is likely to make a move of this magnitude without coordination at the highest levels. That is why this raises important questions about what may be happening behind closed doors.

The only scenario that makes sense to me is that elements within the Trump administration, particularly JD Vance, may have been involved in advancing a negotiation track with the Islamic Republic.

Over the past 24 hours, JD Vance has repeatedly spoken about the possibility of an agreement with Iran and appears committed to keeping that diplomatic path open, much like the approach taken by the Obama administration.

But the fundamental question remains:

If $3 billion was indeed transferred, what concession was made in exchange?

Who authorised it, and what exactly did the Iranian people gain from it?

Bribing a criminal regime is not diplomacy.

Whether it is Obama or Trump, the playbook never seems to change.

That regime will never change.
