You want to “make sociology better.” Start in your home base by joining the #ASA Teaching Section, attend its events, promote the work of your colleagues in that section, and
1) Who does most of the teaching?
2) Who does most of the actually effective teaching (the type that works, the type that is inspiring)?
3) How do we reward effective teaching?
