The Americans are preparing for an escalation. Except, they are still not committed to regime change. The escalation is meant to try to get Iran back to the negotiating table. Expanding the scope of the strikes may bring Iran to the negotiating table but only to buy some time. It certainly won't change the regime's behaviour. The Trump White House seems to be struggling to understand Iran. They still don't get it.
I will say this again: commit to regime change, tag the Israelis in, and get the job done.
100%
Pakistan must honour its commitments.
A troubled Pakistan can survive but a bankrupt Pakistan cannot! The scaffolding is provided by KSA especially and by other Arab allies.
If Pakistan decides to sit this one out, then Pak isn't needed and in that case, no loans & Aid
My personal opinion is that Pakistan shouldn't have signed the defence pact with Saudi Arabia at the time when it did. But now that it has signed that pact, it should honour it regardless of everything else.
@Historyandking1 It can be controlled explosion. Iran is mountainous, it will trap radiation and kill 10x more than we expect. It is a fortress for conventional warfare but just a few nukes can kill the entire population. The air direction and radios have to be calculated before that. Will see
Musharraf was the most pragmatic Pakistani leader on Israel. Need that sensibility back. Also, I recall how he was subjected to the most nasty vitriol & smear campaigns by Pak Islamists on Lal Masjid etc. If mullahs hate you, you’re probably right. He was right.
Yeap, it's tough. It's a classic to be or no to be complicated situation. If we are not part of the equation, the new players will be extremely hostile
It leaves you with risks on all sides, but the question is what kind of risk are we willing to take. CDF must decide that
