FYI- My main goal for my clients is to learn from me in every aspect of this “fitness lifestyle”. I want you to have the confidence to navigate through a weightroom, using barbells and dumbbells (not just machines) and knowing you’re doing the exercises correctly.
No pain, no gain right??? Wrong. No pain, more gain. Overworked and under recovered individual overstress their bodies which leads to pain and no gain.
If the goal is to build muscle, then why would you send any contradictory signals like under eating, copious amounts of cardio, being sleep deprived, or doing high rep workouts with minimal load???
Metabolism can be your best friend or worst enemy. Teaching your body to burn calories vs burning your calories from the workout. Your metabolism will always beat your workout when trained properly.
When pertaining to weight training, The body will always find the easy way to do something. This doesn’t mean it’s correct. Double down on technique and form. Posture can make or break a movement as well.
The better we get at everyday task like eating, sleeping, drinking water, and stress management. The easier it will be to make progress and sustain results.
Strength gain isn’t just loading more weight to the bar. Moving the weight with better speed, technique, for reps, and greater ROM are strength gains as well.
