While I was away from X, I heard in the state of MP some water contamination issue happened.
I am not saying that is some DS/ISI work immediately. But as a country, India should certainly be very alert and preemptive about these things taking them as a forewarning.
Our adversaries poisoning our piped water / PDS food to make our people suffer and turn them against the GoI is a plan I can just foresee.
Especially because these are some of the greatest works/improvements in India by Modi govt which is staring down US, China, Pak, and all who want India to be weak and pliable to their agendas.
Media and others who we may think are nationalist may suddenly turn against the govt when the public are aggrieved because their networks and incentives are still influenced by foreign hands and public sentiment.
If our delivery partners were the only ones breaking traffic rules, I would take the blame.
A large number of Indians are always in a rush and breaking traffic rules. What's their "10 minute" incentive to do that? Nothing. We are impatient on the road as a society.
Let me explain why you usually only notice our delivery partners break traffic rules? Because they are wearing uniforms, and you have a bias against platforms to attribute their behaviour to. But when someone without a uniform breaks traffic rules, you usually don't remember it later, because you don't have any brand/platform to attribute it to.
Doctors get beaten up almost everyday in some corner of India. The sheer banality of the violence has inured everyone to its seriousness. Doctors are the punch bags of our emotionally dysregulated society.
The response from seniors : preaching platitudes, tolerating intolerance or a nauseating black-badge protest. Truth be told, the message is “If a patient hits you or abuses your family, it’s your bad luck. Just take it in your stride and move on”.
The same story repeats itself, after every assault - and the same enlarged prostates give their gyaan to the victim like clockwork. Perhaps these have a martyr complex, hiding their impotent rage under a cloak of compassion and composure. Perhaps they are too dead inside to feel anything at all.
Then the Raghav Nirula incident happened. A history sheeter chapri got more than he bargained for.
For the first time, I saw a doctor paying back in the same coin. He probably knew the consequences would be severe - but went ahead anyway. He put his parents’ honor above his job.
Yes, he’s a doctor, but he’s human first. Yes, he has taken the Hippocrates oath, but his quest for natural justice overpowered the oath. Violence is the language of the unheard. Some people snap, and decide enough is enough.
If you are outraged by the reaction, but not the action - it means you are a hollow hypocrite. The law will take its course and may find Raghav guilty.
I wish Raghav had shown restraint- because his career is too precious to be thrown away for the sake of a goon. I wish he had walked away , like all others before him - but deep down, I get him.
