The Abbey on Lovers Lane
At the end of the school year, Ascension sponsored a Teacher Appreciation luncheon made by Chef Patrick, owner of Tejanos catering. Below are a few pics of the thank you's we received.
Great work, ASCENSION OUTBOUND!! #ascensiondallas#loveliveshere
A few years ago, DISD contacted Ascension to help establish this food pantry on-site so that children could take food home on the weekends. Ascension continues to support this effort pantry through our own food pantry and we purchase and deliver food to them on a regular basis.
We're so grateful for our servant leaders who work tirelessly with our Elaine Kadane Food Pantry efforts. You may know that in addition to our every other Tuesday food pantry offering at Ascension, we also support Tasby Middle School's food pantry.
Fr. Liles is a native of the Golden State with deep roots in Texas. He earned a BA degree from Texas A&M University, a M. Div from Virginia Theological Seminary, and a DM from the School of Theology at the University of the South. We look forward to having him with us!
We are excited to welcome guest preacher the Rev. Dr. Eric Liles to Ascension this Sunday, August 27th! Fr. Liles will preach at both the 8:00 and 10:30 services that day. Please see below for information about his ministry. We hope you will plan to join us on the 27th!

Our second article for our Called to Be a Blessing Stewardship 2024 campaign is written by our very own Janey Burruss. In this piece, Janey reflects on two readings from this Sunday, the 20th's readings Genesis 45:4-15 and Romans 11:29-32. Enjoy!

It's Compassion Camp week and it started off with a bang! Yesterday kids learned about jumping into action and helping ease someoneโs hurt because we have seen and empathized with how they feel. They also learned about self-compassion through yoga! #ascensiondallas
Fr. Paul's latest blog post addresses outreach opportunities at Ascension. There are many ways to plug in! We'd love to have you participate in our ministries! #loveliveshere#ascensiondallas https://t.co/d0upZWkvFJ
