@KatherineGladd1@RogerHallamCS21 Read it for yourself. In the worst case you lost a few minutes to bullshit -- but that the current mode is unsustainable is, I think, clear.
We have to reshape our society to work for the needs of the people, not profit, or this will only get worse...
@KatherineGladd1@RogerHallamCS21 Take 30 mins to read Karl Marx's communist manifesto (google, is free). If you now think "isn't c-word horrible?" then realize that those 'facts' we all heard are empty, thought stopping and only beneficial to the system currently killing the planet for a few billionaires.

@KippesRA@crzyoomf@maisonlongan If Hitler was given power by the democratic representatives executing the will of the people, him having absolute power means the people have absolute power - so that is democracy, no?
@KippesRA@crzyoomf@maisonlongan He didn't "consolidate power", he was *given* power. By democratic representatives.
At least know what you're talking about.
@AndoniCorrada@alejomarello@Ma_WuKong@FalkTG Tell me, what where the last few significant positive political changes?
Say, something that is even close to Shanghai's progress within 30 years?
@AndoniCorrada@alejomarello@Ma_WuKong@FalkTG Unlike you, the chinese people can and do constantly give input to their politicans, and because they are held accountable to fulfilling them, they actually do fulfill complaints.
Just look at their politicians. They are engineers and PhDs, not TV stars.
@kimo77695@MrStockable Mao was NOT a dictator, either. The term "democracy" and "dictator" is already biased.
"Democracy" is actually a communist term and was only adopted by the West after the UDSSR fell. Before that, the West prided themselves as having freedom, not democracy.
@kimo77695@MrStockable You know what the problem is?
Hitler was a dictator that killed people because that was his goal.
The people under Mao died because of mistakes in governance, the goal wasn't killing.
@fifsudsdim61291@hentopan_ So, to answer your question: The answer is that if you can't pay, there are effectively no worker laws because you can't afford the exorbitant fees to even use them.
Companies usually just break worker laws and see if you sue. Most can't or don't.
@fifsudsdim61291@hentopan_ TLDR: In a liberal democracy, you technically have every right and opportunity - as long as you can pay for them.
Of course, these prices increase while your salary decreases every year. Infinite growth needs has to come from somewhere!
@CitizenOfPRC I don't know exactly why, but I just wanted to say that I have seen you a few times in the last two days, and your posts always seem to grab my attention (in a positive way).
It's probably because you come across as eloquent, insightful, knowledgeable and kind! 🙂↕️
@ElectricClaw412@hentopan_ You have to be careful when comparing numbers. They are not directly comparable.
For example: The west might pay 2x as much, but when cost of living costs four times as much, you actually have less.
That is not to say this is the case, just an example.
@zilong200546843@hebe1yoyo > It seems that foreigners don’t do post modern irony as much as Chinese d
What's modern irony? Could you show me an example or two?
What the fuck? Schämt euch.
