The #Imus river in #Cavite #Philippines is a case study in @ASEANO due to extensive plastic pollution. Researchers from @DLSU__Manila are investigating the social and economic implications of plastic pollution initiatives to inform #successful actions to #beatplasticpollution.

3) and we are excited to expand the project to Da Nang city, Vietnam in close cooperation with #UniversityofDaNang. In Da Nang monitoring activities will be implemented alongside socioeconomic research looking at systemic interventions to tackle #plastic #pollution.

July has been a busy month for the @AseanoProject:
1) https://t.co/cMopdBf2TE won the ASEANO Innovation Challenge to tackle plastic pollution 👏 They are developing a sustainable refill vending system and can now upscale their business!

2) We continued monitoring for plastic pollution at the Muara Gembong in Indonesia.
