Lakshadweep Set to Welcome India's First Seaplane Connectivity

A successful seaplane trial landing at Agatti Waterdrome @aaiagaairport yesterday marked a major milestone towards introducing seaplane operations in Lakshadweep. The proposed seaplane connectivity aims to link Cochin International Airport with Kalpeni, Kadmat, Kiltan, Kavaratti, and Agatti.

With an expected passenger capacity of 9–10 travellers per flight, the service is expected to start shortly. This initiative will boost tourism and enhance island connectivity.
