In closing, crisis is just another word for opportunity. We as Canadians, with the help of good policies, could end up better off long term due to the equalizing nature of #COVID19 This is not a time to be anxious, but a time to come together (in spirit) and be hopeful.
Speaking of trickle up economics to recover from #covid19Canada I'd like to see, total student loan forgiveness this fall. That will put more money in the pockets of middle class young adults.
Giving the middle class money to spend will stimulate the economy. Trickle down economics, huge corporate bailouts, never work. BUT, transfer payments like the CCB, OR reduced income taxes on the first $70 000 or so a person earns... Would be trickle up economics which works! 2/2
I like what Trudeau did by raising the allowable amounts for income taxes. That was much better policy than raising minimum wage. But, we're about to hit a recession, once we recover medically. I propose that he lower income taxes further on the middle class. 1/2
Millennials who work hard deserve to own their homes. How about more policies to keep money in Canada instead of having it be sent to foreign entities via rent? Our GDP is crashing rn, just sayin. #covid19Canada
After this crisis we will have a choice. This is a pivotal moment in time.
I want to see the "bailouts" go to individuals and CCPCs. Perhaps create more opportunities to build small businesses that work. Expand ACOA-APECA to be COA-APEC #covid19Canada
