U.S. Rep. Mike Bost told a crowd of supporters in Waterloo last night that he’s running for a seventh consecutive term in Congress. This morning, President Trump endorsed him again — something sure to make his 2024 challenger Darren Bailey think twice before jumping in again.
Rep. Robin Kelly becomes the second candidate to enter the race of U.S. Senate in Illinois.
She'll face Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton in a Democratic primary in 2026.
Today I announce my run for the US Senate. This moment demands proven leaders with the experience to take on tough battles. I've never backed down—not from gun lobbyists, not from MAGA extremists, and not from a fight for what's right. Join my campaign 👉 https://t.co/LMijDeBMCi
We did it, St. Louis! 🎉🎉
I’m truly honored to be elected your next Mayor and excited to get to work for our city.
This victory belongs to every single person who knocked on doors, sent texts, hung signs, made calls, hosted events, and talked to friends and neighbors about our campaign.
You made this happen.
To my incredible staff and the hundreds of volunteers who poured their hearts into this effort — thank you. Your passion, dedication, and belief in this movement have been humbling and inspiring.
As we move into this next chapter, my priorities are clear:
• Delivering city services to all parts of our city
• Creating safer neighborhoods
• Expanding economic opportunity
• Rebuilding trust in city government
• Building a more robust safety net for at-risk populations
• Ensuring every St. Louisan has a voice and a stake in our future
The transition begins now, with one week before I officially take office as Mayor. I am ready to hit the ground running and work hard every single day for the people of St. Louis. We have serious work to do — and an incredible chance to build something better.
I couldn’t be more honored to take this next step with you by my side.
Let’s get to work, St. Louis!

This is the sign at the Drury Inn in Arnold, Missouri.
Half of it is hanging on… the other half is in the parking lot.
Some major destruction around Arnold tonight.
Just to put a finer point on this: if evidence comes out in this lawsuit to prove the statements are indeed true, then we're about to learn if Sheriff Alfred Montgomery and his attorney have been lying to the public on camera for weeks about what happened that day at the jail.
Absentee early votes are in. St. Louis early voters want CHANGE.
Cara Spencer - 72.41%
Tishaura Jones - 25.81%
Michael Butler - 24.97%
Andrew Jones - 13.37%
Because voters can select more than one candidate, totals equal more than 100%
Update: we can now report the identity of the homeless woman who died in freezing temperatures outside City Hall. Her name was Jennifer Pendleton. She was 36 years old. She was known to city police. She recently had contact with a city police officer within the last week.
Mayor Jones’ office confirms Streets Department Director Betherny Williams took a temporary leave to recover from a surgery before the pending snow storm. Per spox, Williams remains involved in planning discussions to prepare for the storm while she’s out. No ETA on return.
Missouri Republicans praise St. Louis police chief Robert Tracy as “one of the best in the nation.” So why won’t they take his advice?
GOP Reps argue Tracy’s hands are tied under Mayor Jones and he could do more under a state board. He says they’re wrong. https://t.co/GpOGhObn5X
UPDATE: Shriners Children's Philadelphia confirmed one of their pediatric patients who was returning to Mexico, along with her mother, were among the six people on board a medical jet that crashed in Northeast Philly: https://t.co/aG3xrWp3kC
It's been 12 days since the first round of snow hit the bi-state, and yet many St. Louis streets remain untreated and difficult to drive on.
How bad is the reaction at City Hall? They sent the political reporter out in the storm tracker.
The future of @tpac relocating to the East Bank appears to be in real jeopardy.
@NC5 has confirmed, TPAC has gotten frustrated with negotiations with the city of Nashville. They're now exploring alternative locations. Full statement from a spokesperson below:
