You don't need to hop in Bezos' rocket for a decent view of the stars. In 36 years this was the clearest view of the Milky Way that I can recall (though it did take an airplane and two boats to get there).
Hatoma is one of Japan’s most remote islands, 2,000km south of Tokyo at the end of the Okinawa island chain.
These days just 50 folks live on the island (down from 500). It’s an extraordinary place where the goats outnumber the humans, the sea is gloriously transparent, and the largest coconut crabs on Earth trudge around through the foliage at night like they’re on a mission.
Spending 72 hours hanging out with the locals and getting a glimpse of island life was a much needed escape from the city.

SpaceX is a company whose mission is *axiomatically* the love of humanity
To extend the light of consciousness
The power of this kind of love is hard to quantify but clearly makes the impossible far more probable.
🇯🇵 A Muslim woman in Tokyo complained that Japan’s traditional Bon Odori festival, which is a summer dance with kimonos & lanterns as “discriminatory” and “imposing Japanese culture”.
I have an excellent solution to this problem: go home.
Bro, this is how it starts.
In the UK, police were literally told to go easier on ethnic minorities and be stricter with white British people. It was official guidance. The result? They ended up handcuffing a dying white student who had been stabbed, because they were more worried about looking racist than doing their job.
Now in Japan, a naturalized Pakistani guy is suing the government, saying police questioned him based on his appearance and that it’s “foreigner discrimination.”
If this kind of lawsuit actually wins, what do you think happens next?
Police will start hesitating to question foreigners. They’ll be scared of being called racist or discriminatory. So they’ll just let suspicious people walk.
Meanwhile, Japanese people will be the ones getting stopped normally, because nobody’s going to sue over that.
This is exactly how it went in the UK. They tried so hard not to “discriminate” against foreigners that they ended up discriminating against their own citizens instead.
If Japan goes down the same road, Japanese people are the ones who’ll end up as the disadvantaged group.
Don’t let this nonsense take root here.

Everyone really likes Leviathan. But I honestly like this Turtle the most. She's my favorite. There are a few more interesting moments in this, from silhouette to detail. I don’t know tbh. But it's really up to people to decide what's cool and what's not. Have a nice day ❤️
