@JacquiOatley Bizarre tweet. Managers livlihoods at risk, if a ref has a shocker they get a week off or demoted to a lower league with less pressure. They’re paid to not make mistakes, one will slip through every so often and people accept it, but not when it’s multiple times every game.

@HughWoozencroft The referees and their assistants in the premier league are supposed to be the elite of the elite officials. They’re fortunate Newcastle were able to go on and win the game, but the decisions in the game were abhorrent. VAR needs changing but it needs to be in the game.

@HughWoozencroft The issue isn’t with the VAR Technology itself, but the way it’s implemented and utilized. The people who create the processes around VAR and the officials that adhere to those processes (or seem to do their own thing at times) need to be held to account.
