Ashbourne became a Fairtrade Town in 2005, and since then the range of Fairtrade products available in the town has continued to grow.

Ashbourne Primary School ran a competition during #FairtradeFortnight to design a #Fairtrade Chocolate bar.

There were lots of entrants which made it a difficult competition to judge but the staff finally decided on 'Delish' as the winner!

@KITKAT Unfortunately, Rainforest Alliance/UTZ certification offers significantly less benefit to farmers. If anyone is interested, we can share a detailed comparison of #Fairtrade with Rainforest Alliance/UTZ. People might be surprised at the differences!
