I once saw a chap get publicly embarrassed at a restaurant.

His card kept declining. People behind him were already murmuring.

He looked calm… too calm.

Then he smiled, stepped aside, and said, “Give me 5 minutes.”

Everyone thought he was running away.

Exactly 4 minutes later, he returned, paid for his meal, and left, quietly covering the cost for the next three people in line too.

No speech. No eye contact. Just left.
