@Techmeorwreckme@financedystop Not when amortized over the life of the unit, and a new one will only take $50 to run for the year. You're being penny wise but pound foolish with this one.
@financedystop Here's the cut sheet from our last half beef, it'll give a good look at how much of what is involved. Paid $6.25lb. on the hanging weight, includes cut and vacuum seal. I did this one from a larger packer, but if you use a local rancher you can get all your tongue, liver, etc.
@Demo4fhs Unlimited PTO prevents the company from carrying a financial liability and eliminates a little overhead from not having to track accrual.
That's it, that's why companies like it.
As an employee, take your damn PTO instead of treating it like a piggy bank and it all evens out.
@prayerborne@RandyEBarnett Nah, no problem doing that kind of extended driving with a '69 Ford Galaxie 500 w/ the 302ci getting 16mpg. The big difference is, those old cars were blown out at 80k miles and it was rebuild time. That Subie from 10 years ago could be still cooking today.
@parasociality If you help your kids while you're living they won't need your $ when you're dead. Simple as that. Help get 'em educated and well started in their chosen career and they don't need your $ to thrive.
