What's even lovelier is that all of Forms 1-6 have ERICS time simultaneously on Thursdays and Fridays, so we have the whole of the prep school reading at once! Now - how do we get all the teachers involved too??

Our near-daily #ERICS (Everyone Reading In Class Silently) sessions are going down a storm - pupils enjoy the chance to settle down after break time, and teachers love that they get an extra 10-15 minutes #reading time nearly every day!

Fantastic start to our reading this term, with our daily Everyone Reading In Class Silently (ERICS) starting today, and some very happy Form 5s reading in the warm sunshine last week!

We had an amazing week last week with dressing up (involving lots of research of famous scientists, real and fictional), book fairs, book swaps, DEAR time, science-literature links, and more!
Thanks @SteveColeBooks for kicking off Book/Science Week on Monday with a brilliant visit, talking to the pupils about how space, technology, environmentalism and other science-y topics can be a great inspiration for stories!

A day late, but for #ValentinesDay2022, Miss Gye and Mrs MacIntosh joined #BookLove!
1) a book written for grown-ups that you love
2) a children's book you love
3) a book you'll always love
4) a recent book you've loved
We picked from the Ashfold library!

Merry Christmas from Ashfold English! A final #Ashfoldrecommends for the holidays from Mr MacIntosh: Coram Boy (6.3; 18 pts) for our older readers and Running on the Roof of the World (4.1; 5 pts) for the younger. Happy reading!
