@L_I_Editor Yup. Sometimes really, really clever people struggle with the idea that there’s something they don’t know, or something they’re wrong about. So they dig in and ignore the conflicting evidence because they’re so used to being right, and just come off stubbornly stupid instead

@NJSimmondsbooks Well, if you’re losing inches you’re losing fat so whatever you’re retaining on the scales is probably stuff you want to keep - muscle etc. That or your scales are off, but trust your clothes!

@YAundermyskin It was so cute! She jumped when the kitty meowed, then scanned back and went “did *I* write all that, I forgot I was writing” 😂 she did that thing where you just sit there transcribing then scene in your head and she forgot where she was. Proper writer-sprint joy!

Introduced my 11yo to the Pomodoro Technique (specifically the kitty timer @YAundermyskin uses in her Youtube sprints). The absolute joy in the room as she vanished into her imagination, filling pages and completely ignoring her inner critic😍 A nice reminder of why we all write!

@NJSimmondsbooks Thanks! Still a long way to get back to “me” - chronic pain/dad-grief had a huge physical affect in recent years. I’m still frustrated that I got the “diet & exercise” brush off for pain, when I couldn’t do anything until I got my pain under control (diet has barely changed!)

Eek! So I’ve been on a “weight loss journey” and promised myself when I’d lost 60lbs I could cut my hair & dye it blue like I keep saying I will. Guess which milestone I hit today?? I don’t think I’m brave enough to do it though 😱
