today i asked a beach cleaner in hulhumale phase 1 how much trash they collect every day. she said it’s never less than around 10–20 big bin bags in a day, and most of it comes from takeaway shop waste!!!
Same as past 6 years, I’ve decided to compile a thread of local NGOs & places that accept donations to support/sponsor meal packs and other necessities to vulnerable people & families during Ramazan
Every charitable act makes a difference🤍
Please do contribute if u are able to.

Not everything belongs in the drain—oil and food waste can clog pipes and cause major issues in shared living spaces. Let’s prevent problems before they start.

If true/confirmed, horrific and heartbreaking. He documented the genocide for two long years, while being smeared and lied about by pro Israel people. To be killed now, on the verge of a possible end to the genocide, so awful.
She’s breaking barriers and inspiring women and girls to connect with the ocean. Come hear her incredible journey and get inspired at our Mansa panel!

these people are unbelievable.
let me translate:
"this is me at 15. I'm Lithuanian, but my parents decided to become colonizers in Palestine, and could care less that they were literally stealing another people's country, dispossession, murdering, and oppressing the indigenous population. When I got older, I served in that colonial occupation army. I didn't kill, maim, or humiliate indigenous Palestinians, but I made coffee for those who did and did cute things around the office. Now, 30 years later, everyone hates me just. because. I'm. a Jew. [of course, I will not mention at all the fact that we're committing the holocaust of our time against those pesky Palestinians who refuse to disappear]."
As part of the Hulhumalé Master Plan revision outreach, we held an interactive session today at Ghazee School with students from five schools in Hulhumalé.
The session served as a platform to gather their input and ideas on the future of Hulhumalé.
