Today marks the anniversary of the @Montreal_Expos' final game.
And this week, the Restoration of the Expos became inevitable.
I'll explain what went down in a video later today/tomorrow.
We're no longer in any kind of rush. The leverage has now tilted in the Peanut Project's favour. On... all... fronts.
300 days ago, we were swimming somewhere between the impossible and the improbable, I think those emotions you're now feeling are one of... inevitability.

@cpatrick031rxs@Montreal_Expos@MLB@MTL_Ville Do you want the answer from
1) dude leading Expos Restoration project
Or
2) impartial sports business analyst, finance wonk, social scientist blah blah
We proved we’re not here to preach, but to tackle big, audacious problems with solutions—aligning private capital, sports, education, culture and public space, then working with government to leave Montreal better off, @Montreal_Expos baseball fan or not. https://t.co/bs6PyWVE4A
@thom7002 i actually don't wanna say it, but a PQ win is more likely to lead to the Restoration of the @Montreal_Expos just in the sense that they'll need to drum up the economic strength and foundation of the province to then argue look we can become independent etc.
The right business model & catalyst makes the Nordiques a realistic number 2 in @nhl's expansion field. Who's that catalyst? Magnificent Super Mario Lemieux. Details in article below. https://t.co/jUxJinACY4
Just gave @DanEvans108 an update.
If I had to take a shot each time he reacted with a “wow” and “incredible,” I’d be rather tipsy if not on the floor.
No further comments… but a good day if you’re rooting for the Restoration of the @Montreal_Expos

Vous voulez revoir les Nordiques à Québec? J’ai élaboré un modèle d’affaires qui pourrait répondre aux principales préoccupations économiques de la @NHL. Tout ce qui manque? Mario Lemieux. Vous le connaissez? Faites-lui parvenir ce modèle! https://t.co/9eu14AXPNf

Let's try not to make this a thing, but...
I realize that 24 hours ago I made a similar vaguepost because I needed to gather my thoughts after a pretty mind-blowing development—and then gave you the specifics later wrt the many possible @Montreal_Expos stadium land options.
Inasmuch as I will never speak for @MLB, I also won't speak on behalf of the @MTL_Ville - I have so much more compassion and empathy for all government, just because nothing is as it seems.
Purposely, before I hear anything further from them:
Based solely on my now 300-day crash course/apprenticeship in City Hall, zoning, urban planning, infrastructure, NIMBYism, environmental issues, etc.—combined with my lifelong amateur degree in the Humanities (psychology, sociology, history, anthropology)...
OMG JFC!
It all makes sense now.
Not just the longer arc and origins story.
Like... all of it. ALL.
The odd wrong turn.
The frustrating dead end.
The thing that looked like a problem but may actually have been pointing toward the solution.
For much of this adventure, every time I saw a ray of light, I assumed it was another oncoming train (akin to @WatchMojo's early days).
But every once in a while, enough seemingly unrelated things suddenly connect that you realize:
Ohhhhhhh. THAT'S why.
Sometimes problems and solutions spend decades waiting to meet each other.
And sometimes you need to get hopelessly lost before you understand the map.
And then, you look at it again, and everything falls into place. EVERYTHING.
I'm not a religious person, am I spiritual and a tad bit superstitious? Sure, why mess with Lady Luck who can cut you up like a sardine. But... there is something increasingly... I don't know... but, our prayers have been answered, I will tell you that.
More soon.

@Jon_Doe_tg@agneaublesse@DanEvans108@Montreal_Expos It's gonna work. Mainly now a test of patience and discipline. The persistence and resilience phase was last 300 days. Any Qs, comments, etc... all ears.
