Two day weekends are not enough for us to decompress and regain the headspace to be creative and plan. Teachers in B.C. get half the prep time as teachers in Ontario. And we’re paid less. So we work more, earn less. Just FYI. Teachers are tired. More prep time = better learning.

@richardzussman My husband’s a gr 2/3 teacher with a case in his class and no one in the class or their parents were told. Even my husband wasn’t officially notified, just found out from the parent. They’re not treating it any different from a cold, and I don’t think the public is aware of this.
