When the world looks at the church, what do they see? People who are faithfully following the way of Jesus - shining his light in the world, sharing his love with the world? Or do they see people who profess to live one way, but in reality live an entirely different way?
@stevemagness One of the biggest changes for me (48yo suburban dad runner) was identifying what I wanted to accomplish w/in a given week - then giving myself the freedom & flexibility to fit that in where & when I was able. If I checked the boxes and miles off by the end of the week = win!
@HankFrank I failed my first one (April 23). I hadn't slept well. I wasn't hydrated. I wasn't fueled. I didn't know what to expect (had done 18 2w earlier)
I felt like I won the Olympics when I finished my next attempt (Nov 23)! One marathon under my belt, better prepared - felt so good!
As part of their Day of Giving, @cbschicago shared some of our story of @RedemptionBC hosting a shelter for the @RedCrossIL this fall, giving us an opportunity to share God's love with those in need, loving our neighbors as ourselves.

So glad I was able to experience the final round of The Masters with my 13yo boys - to see the highs and lows - the resilience - and the raw emotion that Rory showed on the 18th.
Thank you, @McIlroyRory!

@sewistwrites Two commentaries I read for preaching through Lamentations this year during Lent were by women - Adele Berlin (Lamentations) and Kathleen O’Connor (Lamentations and the Tears of the World)
