And for those following today’s work - this was done as part of regular museum response collecting, and I will report and accession the specimen under my annual Heritage Research Permit. Next step is field report writing and making the new specimen available for research.

It’s a wrap - now back at Shore Road field camp, with the specimen cleaned off - can now see the impressions of several smaller skeletal elements on the surface with the impression of the fin spine. Oscar naps in the shade dreaming of #fishfossils
