@sdschools If they are not already, the resources should be posted in Spanish as well. Just checked out 2 lessons and they are only in English. The majority of my kindergarten parents are Spanish speaking and I would like them to know they can access and utilize these resources too.

We have to #speakup when we see something wrong, especially when it comes to the most vulnerable (children, elderly, animals). I have chosen to speak up many times and I am confident at least some of those times it made a difference. I won't give up.

For the last 24 hours I've been haunted by the Netflix docu-series #TheTrialsOfGabrielFernandez. I make a deliberate choice to watch because as an educator, I felt an obligation to see what it was about. I believe everyone should see this gut-wrenching and heartbreaking story.

The more that we open our eyes, the more power and obligation we have to speak up when we see something is wrong. It's very difficult to watch at times and I cried a lot, but I share his story with the challenge to face it and know it and be activated rather than disheartened.
