@Joeinblack I'm an idealist too, but 22 years of working in state government getting a crash course in politics being the "art of the possible" and seeing up close how the sausage is made, you learn to appreciate any improvement...no matter how incremental it is. Like ACA, for example.

@Joeinblack I agree. That bill did not go as far as I would have wanted either, but it was as big of an improvement that could get 60 votes in thr senate. That was as far as the GOP would go before Trump killed the whole thing outright.

@Joeinblack It didn't get twisted. Trump posted on social media to kill it because he wanted to run on it. While the bill was being constructed it had bipartisan support. The GOP bailed on it because of Trump.
