Salute our real #GenZ, who were absent from #JantarMantar; the responsible, pious, family oriented, caring for parents, brothers, sisters and extended social circle.
Our working, skilled young men/women farmers, teachers, carpenters, masons, IT and myriad high end professionals.
Now you read what Mahatma Gandhi said in his Hind Swaraj in 1909 (which he held as unalterable till his demise) about theerth yatras which he said constituted the unity and integration of India
In Chapter IX ("The Condition of India: Railways") of Hind Swaraj (1909), Mahatma Gandhi directly addresses the idea of sacred pilgrimages (including the Dham sites across the cardinal directions) as the foundational basis of India's national integration:
"Our leading men traveled throughout India either on foot or in bullock-carts. What do you think could have been the intention of those farseeing ancestors of ours who established Setubandha (Rameshwar) in the South, Jagannath in the East and Hardwar in the North as places of pilgrimage? You will admit they were no fools. They knew that worship of God could have been performed just as well at home. They taught us that those whose hearts were aglow with righteousness had the Ganga in their own homes.
But they saw that India was one undivided land so made by nature. They, therefore, argued that it must be one nation. Arguing so, they established holy places in various parts of India, and fired the people with an idea of nationality in a manner unknown in other parts of the world."
The real Gen Z of India contuinue that millennial tradition of yatras which keeps India United from Bottom Upwards.
The fake and anarchic Gen Z which is partying in 5 star hotels is destroying the foundational unity of India Gandhiji celebrated

France has made planned obsolescence a criminal offense, becoming one of the first countries in the world to treat deliberate product shortening as a serious crime.
Manufacturers caught intentionally designing electronics, appliances, or other goods to fail prematurely or become unusable, whether through hardware flaws, software updates that slow performance, or other engineered limitations, now face steep penalties: up to 2 years in prison and fines reaching €300,000, or as high as 5% of their average annual turnover in the most serious cases.
This landmark law, building on France’s earlier consumer-protection framework and reinforced by high-profile scandals (such as the 2017–2018 investigations into smartphone “battery-gate” slowdowns), explicitly targets both physical and digital tactics used to push consumers toward frequent replacements.
The legislation is more than just punishment, it’s a cornerstone of France’s broader “right to repair” agenda. By criminalizing practices that drive premature disposal, the government aims to:
- Slash the massive environmental footprint of electronic waste,
- Protect consumers from hidden “forced upgrades,”
- Encourage manufacturers to prioritize durability, repairability, and longer-lasting support.
France’s tough stance sends a clear message to global tech and appliance companies: the era of disposable-by-design products is ending. By leading the charge on sustainability and consumer rights, the country is helping shift the world toward a more circular economy, one where goods are built to last, repaired when needed, and discarded only when truly necessary.
