This 17th-century statue of Buddha's own son tearing open his chest to reveal a Buddha within is the wildest visual in all of religious art. The message? Enlightenment isn't something you chase. It was always inside you. You just have to see it. That's Buddhism in just one image.
The Buddha taught that holding on is the root of suffering. When we learn to let go of what is temporary, we make space for peace, clarity, and a heart that is free. โธ๏ธโจ
ฤnanda, when someone has enabled you to have experiential confidence in the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Saแน gha, and the ethics loved by the noble ones, itโs not easy to repay them.

We praise companionship
-- yes!
Those on a par, or better,
should be chosen as friends.
If they are not to be found,
living faultlessly,
wander alone
like a rhinoceros.
- Buddha, Khaggavisana Sutta
The teacher has mastered this path, which transcends chains,ย and the fear of birth and old age. Be diligent in the first and final watches of the night, and dedicate yourself to practice.
- Buddha, Thag 6.7
'The Buddha always told his disciples not to waste their time and energy in metaphysical speculation.
Whenever he was asked a metaphysical question, he remained silent.
Instead, he directed his disciples toward practical efforts.
Questioned one day about the problem of the infinity of the world, the Buddha said, "Whether the world is finite or infinite, limited or unlimited, the problem of your liberation remains the same."
Another time he said, "Suppose a man is struck by a poisoned arrow and the doctor wishes to take out the arrow immediately. Suppose the man does not want the arrow removed until he knows who shot it, his age, his parents, and why he shot it.
What would happen?
If he were to wait until all these questions have been answered, the man might die first."
Life is so short. It must not be spent in endless metaphysical speculation that does not bring us any closer to the truth.'

Monks, form (the body) is not self.
If form were truly the self, it would not lead to suffering or illness, and one could command it:
โLet my body be like this; let my body not be like that.โ
But since form is not self, it leads to suffering, and it is not possible to control it in this way.
Likewise, feeling (sensations) is not self,
perception is not self,
mental formations (volitional activities) are not self,
and consciousness is not self.
All these five aggregates are impermanent, beyond control, and therefore cannot be regarded as โThis is mine,โ โThis I am,โ or โThis is my self.โ
Jenna was being so chill for one of her favorite song, โI Remember Youโ by @officialskidrow. I love how chill she gets when being sung to. But I suspect she is hoping that I would play @officialrachelbolan โs new song โAt War With Myselfโ! And if you havenโt heard it yet, we recommend checking it out now!
And while I donโt like to toss around conspiracy theories, itโs alleged that me forgetting to put horn decorations on her is so awful an offense that it might have played a roll in me falling off the new barn roof. While I canโt be sure, I want to assure the universe it wonโt happen again. She will have her bows!!

โAs human beings we have God-given power to cast away every habit and limitation and spread our consciousness throughout creation, penetrating not only the hearts of all creatures, but reaching out beyond the stars. Our native vastness encompasses even greater space. Such tremendous possibility lies within us! We are infinite! I live in that sphere of infinity, and am conscious of the body only once in a while.
โYou are limited now; but when by deep, daily meditation you become able to transfer your consciousness from the finite to the Infinite, you will be free. You are not meant to be a prisoner of the body. You are a child of God; you must live up to that divine birthright.โ โ Paramahansa Yogananda
