Working in Avon Gorge today replacing some of the old and dubious safety gear. This is in readiness for some exciting developments with our PE curriculum. Looking forward to some great opportunities ahead.
Ten Tors training on Dartmoor today. Learning how to conduct safe river crossings and Range safety. Also some press๏ผups to assist with listening to instructions. ๐
Took our alternative curriculum pupils out for some fresh air today. They first went to sainsburyโs to buy some burgers, then a short drive to Goblin Coombe to cook them outdoors and try not to get wet. A very successful trip ๏ผ apart from the not getting wet part.
FYI. You can read more about the project here. Many thanks to the several local businesses and instructor's who have helped make this possible. https://t.co/eGqdazw6pT
Exciting delivery today. Recently I set up a crowdfunding page to raise money to update the safety equipment at Avon Gorge in the "beginners" area. This is where we will soon be taking pupils for Adventurous PE. Keeping safe is top priority and the project has been a huge success
DofE Gold. The pupils have just presented their finished aim. They have produced a historic guided walk around Dartmoor with highlighted Points of Interest. Well done team.
