@givereceipts I’ve definitely seen the dark side before and I stay far away from that because I don’t associate myself with that. My personal kinky relationship is healthy and comfortable and we always talk about what we want and need. I’m sorry you seen a lot of bad shit
@givereceipts@Uvosnumber1fan@JodieWoahdie I understand and I hope things go well for you. My only piece of advice would just to look more at the context of when bdsm is brought up. BDSM in healthy relationships is bonding and healthy and communicative, bdsm by incels is a red flag and should be treated as such
@givereceipts@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan I understand that yes, bdsm can be retraumatizing and that is something that people need to acknowledge before getting into it. But it’s not all bad, but there definitely are people who take advantage of kink spaces and a lot of those people get their asses handed to them
@givereceipts@Uvosnumber1fan@JodieWoahdie Listen, I appreciate you advocating for people and that’s wonderful. BDSM for me is healing because it helps me take control of a situation where I had no control. Me and my partner communicate constantly and if someone says the safe word, it’s immediately over and we hug
@givereceipts@Uvosnumber1fan@JodieWoahdie Abuse kink and misogyny kinks do not exist, anyone who claims that is lying out of their ass. Cnc is the only one in your argument that is correct.
Yes, people do it with bad intentions but that’s not everyone and I personally would beat tf outta anyone who does.
@givereceipts@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan And no, consent can be revoked at any time and no one has to consent to everything. That is a blatant violation of consent laws and I don’t agree with that as that’s assault.
@givereceipts@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan We are already over this whole situation, I do not condone rape or sexual violence. It helps me and helped me build confidence back in the bedroom but that’s not the case for everyone. I am a sa survivor myself and this is just my own personal experience
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan Yeah and unfortunately he’s working at a company that pays very high because it basically just barely left his record by a few years and he has a girlfriend who has a big family with lots of kids. Sometimes I wanna message her and tell her.
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan It is alright, it’s just that I was young and it really messed me up a lot and most of my family members shut me down and tell me not to tell anyone else. It’s rough and bdsm helped me build my confidence back up and it’s my safe space, but I know that’s not the case for all.
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan Unfortunately when I was 10-11 years old and I was assaulted, the older boy (16-17) was only given 5 months of parole and 5yrs on his record. Their reason.? “Why would you try and ruin this young boys life.” And those words will always stick in my head
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan I understand your perspective and I agree that people should be aware of the negative impacts with people who do not have good intentions. Most communities are tightly knit and try to reduce harm and want the best for people, but bad people still happen and i understand that
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan Either way, I think we got off on the wrong hand and I’m sorry we don’t see eye to eye. But I will say I’m glad that even though you may not see my views, you are still trying to show the problems in areas where it needs improvement. I appreciate that
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan@Aella_Girl There are people that have bad intentions and I know that’s an issue, which is usually why I stay away from the community and focus on my own relationship because I am practicing safe boundaries and I’d rather be associated with that
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan@Aella_Girl I do, and I know people have ill intentions. And those people are sick and need to be called out, I am not one of those people.
And I know other people exist, it wouldn’t be a world without them and I don’t want you to believe that I’m trying to ignore the problems
@JodieWoahdie@Uvosnumber1fan I appreciate you trying to advocate for survivors and you should be proud of that, i understand we will not come to a full agreement but i can assure you that i am not trying to make it seem like im condoning or normalizing assault.
