Do you dream of being rich?
While there's no one-size-fits-all formula for achieving financial success, there are some things you should definitely avoid.
Here are three things that could be holding you back from becoming rich:
The biggest skill you can develop is the ability to reset fast.
Bad conversation? Move on. Bad day? Start fresh tomorrow. Missed workout? Hit it the next day.
Poor decision? Learn and adjust
You can't control what happens to you, but you control how long you let it affect you.
My therapist told me:
"If you're an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Exercise for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don't treat everything like a life-or-death situation."
And then it all made sense.
Best mental reset I've learned:
If your mind is loud - Write.
If your mind is empty - Read.
If your mind is racing - Walk.
If your mind is tired - Sleep.
If your mind is sharp - Build.
Most problems are just mismatched energy.
Get the inputs right, the rest follows.
“Don’t care what other people think” is bad advice from people lying to themselves. Care what your wife thinks. Your best friend. Your mentor. That’s real. The advice should be- stop caring what ignorant strangers think. Care selectively. Indifference to everyone is cowardice.
Be careful not to fall into the self-improvement trap.
The trap is thinking you're growing just because you're reading or watching videos. It feels like progress, but it's just a way to avoid doing hard stuff. Nothing will change your life unless you apply what you already know.
Don't try to be happy. Happy is a fleeting emotion. Try to be useful. Try to be proud. Try to be at peace.
These are sustainable states. Happiness is a side effect of living well- true to who you are and for others, not a target to aim for.
The more delusionally optimistic you are, the more life rewards you.
So leave all the buts, ifs etc. and do whatever you want to do with full zeal and ofcourse it will reward you maybe not instantly but definitely.
The older I get, the more I realize that someone making time for you is one of the clearest signs they care. Everyone is busy.
So when someone consistently chooses to spend their time with you, checks on you, and makes space for you in their life, it means something.
